Santa Barbara unified Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2025
The Santa Barbara Unified School District Hazard Mitigation Plan has been formally adopted by the SBUSD Board of Education and approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The SBUSD Board of Education adopted the plan on May 19, 2026. FEMA Region IX issued final approval on May 29, 2026, confirming that the plan meets federal hazard mitigation planning requirements and remains approved for five years, through May 28, 2031.
