La Plata County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2025
The La Plata County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) has received final approval from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), confirming that the Plan meets all federal hazard mitigation planning requirements. All participating jurisdictions have also completed formal adoption of the Plan.
Developed through a collaborative effort involving local jurisdictions, partner agencies, stakeholders, and community members, the Plan provides a countywide framework for reducing hazard risk and strengthening community resilience.
