Tehama County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2025
The Tehama County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) has been officially approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and is now complete.
Following extensive coordination with participating jurisdictions, stakeholder engagement, and public input, the Plan was reviewed by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and FEMA for compliance with federal mitigation planning requirements under 44 CFR Part 201. FEMA has issued its formal Approval Letter, confirming the Plan’s eligibility for federal hazard mitigation grant programs.
The final MJHMP includes:
The FEMA Approval Letter
Adopted resolutions from Tehama County and participating jurisdictions
The complete, FEMA-approved Plan document
This Plan provides a coordinated, countywide strategy to reduce long-term risk from natural hazards, strengthen community resilience, and position local jurisdictions to pursue state and federal mitigation funding.
We thank all participating agencies, partners, and community members who contributed to this important effort to make Tehama County safer and more resilient.
