HMMWC by Hazards
Explore the impact of Napa County Populations using the map to the right.
The widgets on the right side are interactive and allow the user to filter the data on the map. The summary of population reflects the total population within the map window, sub-setted by any applied filters.
This data was created using ACS 2015 population estimates (census blocks) that were intersected with hazard overlays into sub-divided population-by-hazard areas. Populations for these areas were calculated using the populations for each census block reduced by the proportion of the original block area for the divided area as shown in the illustration below..

The widgets on the right side are interactive and allow the user to filter the data on the map. The summary of parcel value and count reflects the within the map window, sub-setted by any applied filters.
This data was created using Napa County address point (buildings) and parcel data. Address points were related to the parcels they fall within and assigned values from the parcel. If multiple buildings were present for a given parcel, the value for the address point was reduced by the number of points in the parcel. For parcels with no address point present, the parcel centroid is used.
